"I will work for every man, woman and child in the Hemel area. I will fight to keep our hospital, keep our police station, win back our streets from criminals, protect our green belt, and stand up for those who can't defend themselves."

"I am proud of my country, proud of its history and its values; I want to restore decency and honesty in politics. I don't want to bring Westminster politics to Dacorum I want to take Dacorum to Westminster."
