Mike supports Gibraltar

Penning appointed secretary of the parliamentary All Party Gibraltar Group.
Last week Mike Penning, MP for Hemel Hempstead constituency, was appointed secretary to the parliamentary All Party Gibraltar Group. This group aims to promote and protect the interests of the people of Gibraltar within Parliament as they have no direct representation of their own. On his reasons for joining this group Mike said “the people of Gibraltar throughout history have given so much for this country. They are fiercely proud to be British, 95% having voted to remain such in a recent referendum. They are self sufficient and don’t ask us for money – all they as is to remain British. I respect the people of Gibraltar for who they are and for all they have done for us in the past.”
