Mike Penning announces Christmas Card competition winner
14th December 2012
Hemel Hempstead’s Member of Parliament, Mike Penning, visited The Collett School on Friday 14th December to announce the winner of his annual Christmas card competition.
This year’s winner was Olivia Collins and Mike presented her with a WH Smith gift voucher at a school assembly.
Mike Penning MP said:
“I am delighted to present Olivia with a gift voucher for her Christmas Card design. The Collett School is a wonderful school and I try to visit as often as I can. I know the children enjoy the Christmas Card competition.
“My wife, Angie, and I find it very difficult to select just one winner but we particularly liked Olivia’s Christmas tree card. I send a large number of Christmas cards so Olivia’s picture will be seen by a lot of people!
“I thank the Head, Stephen Hoult-Allen, and his staff for their help in organising the entries for the competition.”
Pupils at the Collett School have been assessed as having a range of learning difficulties from moderate to complex, including autism.
