Mike Penning congratulates Hemel Lions on raising £50,000 since reopening bookshop

Mike Penning former Mayor Cllr Brian Ayling to join Hemel Lions on Friday (7th September) to celebrate their raising £50,000 since reopening their bookshop in April 2011.
With help from the Tring, Berkhamsted and Watford clubs, the bookshop is open 7 days a week at the Marlowes Centre.
Lions President Barbara Daniels used the occasion to present cheques to Hemel Warriors Football Club and also to Barbara Gatehouse whose son Jack suffers chronic health problems including epilepsy.
Barbara Daniels also thanks the Lions volunteers and the Marlowes Centre who let them use the premises rent free.
Hemel Lions are keen to recruit new volunteers and anyone interested can pop in to the bookshop and have a chat.
