Mike Penning MP supports B&Q sunflower giveaway

Mike Penning, MP for Hemel Hempstead joined staff at B&Q in Two Waters Road on Saturday where they were giving away more than 500 Verve sunflower plants to children – encouraging them to get growing.
B&Q are running a national competition to see who can grow the tallest sunflower and later in the year they are planning to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for showing the most digital pictures hosted in one place.
Mike said:
“It was great fun and I wish all the children who collected sunflower plants good luck. Remember to water them and look after them and send in your photo for the record attempt. Hopefully we will have a winner from Hemel Hempstead!”
