MP congratulates Markyate restaurant

Mike Penning, MP for the Hemel Hempstead constituency, has congratulated local nomination The Pavillion on receiving a ‘Highly Commended’ from the judges in the Lyca Tiffin Cup 2011.
Mike visited the The Pavillion in Markyate to present a specially embroidered chef’s jacket in recognition of award.
The Tiffin Cup is run by a cross-party group of Members of Parliament called the Tiffin Club.
Each MP can nominate the best South Asian restaurant in their constituency. The best of these go forward to a national final which takes place at Bellamy’s restaurant at the House of Commons.
Mike Penning added:
"I congratulate The Pavillion on their achievement and am delighted to present this chef’s jacket. We are lucky to have a number of great restaurants in Dacorum and this competition is a great way to promote south asian food.”
