Mike Penning sends condolences on death of former MP Lord Corbett

Hemel Hempstead MP, Mike Penning, has sent his condolences to the family of former Member of Parliament Lord Corbett.
Mike said:
“I was sorry to hear of the death of Lord Corbett and I send my condolences to his family and friends. They are in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
“By all accounts he was a highly thought of and respected local MP who served the area well and I often come across people who remember him as a good local MP.”
Robin Corbett served as Labour Member of Parliament for Hemel Hempstead from October 1974 until 1979, but continued to live in Piccotts End.
He later served as MP for Birmingham Erdington from 1983 to 2001. He was raised to the peerage in 2001 as Lord Corbett of Castle Vale.
