Mike Penning MP visits Keech Hospice Care

20th July 2012

Mike Penning, Member of Parliament for Hemel Hempstead, visited Keech Hospice Care in Luton to celebrate their 21st anniversary on Wednesday (18th July).

Mike met with Hospice CEO Mike Keel and joined some of the children looking at a specially adapted racing car which is designed to provide anything from experience days through to competing professionally. The car was provided by ST Motorsport who, together with Diverse HR Solutions Ltd and Melltune, runs the Accessible Motorsport project. The project aims to offer people with disabilities the same experience of motor racing track days as people without a disability.

Mike Penning said:
“Keech Hospice Care does an incredible job and I congratulate them on their 21st anniversary. The racing car was a great hit and we had a lot of fun learning all about it and the children enjoyed having a go at ‘driving’ it!”

Keech Hospice Care is a residential and outpatients facility for adults and children with life limiting illnesses, giving them the best support and care.

Keech Hospice Care has recently opened a new shop at 12 The Queens Square, Adeyfield.
