MP welcomes positive local employment figures

Mike Penning MP has welcomed the latest employment figures for the Hemel Hempstead constituency.
The number of people claiming unemployment benefit in the district has fallen in the past month by 43.
Mike said:
“It's good news that local employment is going in the right direction, but there is still a lot of work to do.
“As a Government, we are determined to tackle youth unemployment in particular, which is why we've taken steps to ensure that young people get the best possible support to get back to work.
“I also particularly welcome local initiatives such as the new Maylands Business Centre which will help kick-start new business ventures in the area.”
