MP on the ropes

Mike Penning throws his weight about in the gardens at the Palace of Westminster.
Mike Penning, MP for Hemel Hempstead, captained a team of MPs in the annual Macmillan House of Lords vs House of Commons Tug of War competition which raised thousands of pounds for the charity.
The competition, which is now in its nineteenth year, took place on Tuesday 20th June at Victoria Tower Gardens adjacent to the Palace of Westminster. The event, this year was sponsored by Taylor Woodrow. The House of Commons team won 2 – 0.
