Mike Penning backs Hemel FM

Mike Penning joined presenters Claudia Redmond and Derek James on their Hemel FM radio programme ‘In The Spotlight’ on Sunday (20th March).

Mike answered questions about the roads, arts facilities and the hospital. Speaking afterwards, Mike said:
“I am hugely enthusiastic about this project and thoroughly enjoyed meeting the presenters and answering the questions.

“This is a great opportunity for me to speak to local people and listen to their concerns as well as explain some of the decisions that are made by the government.

“I very much hope I am invited back and that this was the first of many visits to Hemel FM.”

Chris Skinner the Programme Director for Hemel FM said:
“As a new community radio station for Hemel Hempstead it is very important that we get support from several key, local individuals to help the project evolve.

“It is fantastic that Mike Penning is backing Hemel FM as a project and also making the most of the town’s new media outlet to talk to his constituents. We are trying to break down the barriers that some times get in the way for communication
between key figures such as Mike and the residents of the town. I am delighted that Mike has agreed to feature on our local affairs programme called “In The Spotlight” which is hosted by Claudia Redmond and Derek James.”
