Buncefield “can never happen again”… they said

Mike Penning comments on oil depot explosion in Puerto Rico.
“Buncefield could never happen”… they said. It did.
“Buncefield could never happen again”… they said. It has.
Commenting on last Friday’s explosion at an oil depot outside San Juan in Puerto Rico, Mike said:
“Its all very well saying this thing can’t happen again. It clearly can.
“One of the most striking things about the photographs is the lack of residential housing in the vicinity. It would seem the Americans take their buffer zones more seriously.
“It is simply madness to rebuild Buncefield in the same place in the hope that it won’t happen again. It is foolish beyond belief to be considering the fields adjacent to Buncefield as the main site for housing and the expansion of the town.”
It is reported that in Puerto Rico, twenty one out of 40 storage tanks were affected. 1,500 people were evacuated and all schools in San Juan were closed for the day on Friday.
Puerto Rico is a self-governing territory of the United States. President Barack Obama has declared a state of emergency. The FBI is carrying out an investigation.
