MP welcomes station car park U-turn

Mike Penning has welcomed news that London Midland will not add an upper deck to the car park at Hemel Hempstead Railway Station.

Mike said:
“This is great news for local residents and campaigners. It is incredible that any organisation can construct such a massive piece of engineering without any reference to local people or the local council.

“The company needs to take on board the fact that it is not lack of parking spaces that is the problem, it is the high parking charges they impose.”
