Mike Penning MP pays tribute to Bert Inward founder of Dacorum Rent Aid who died this weekend.
Mike Penning said:
“I was very sorry to learn of the death of Bert Inward. There are very few people who can say that they have made a real difference to the lives of people who live in Dacorum, but Bert was certainly one of them.
“His charity founded Dacorum Rent Aid and the charity is inspirational in the work that it does. By offering a rent guarantee scheme for single people who are homeless, unemployed or on low pay, Dacorum Rent Aid helps people secure rental accommodation in the private sector and therefore helps them get back on their feet at a time when they need it most.
“Bert will be sorely missed and I send my sincere condolences to his loved ones.”
In 2008, Mike Penning nominated Bert Inward as his MP’s Local Hero and Bert attended a ‘MP Heroes Tea Party’ at the House of Commons.
