Family Fun Day Presentation

22nd September 2015
Mike Penning joined Family Fun Day organiser JB John and the “Just Be” team at the presentation of a £5,000 cheque to Iain Rennie following the successful 3rd annual “Family Fun Day and Just Be 90’s” event at the Marchmont Arms in Piccotts End in July. The event was held in aid of Iain Rennie and in memory of Josh O’Malley.
Attending and contributing to the event were, Iain Rennie, Gym Group Hemel Hempstead, Handmade Papercut Boutique, Quasar Hemel Hempstead, Cheesy Pics, Intermix2, Leon Thomson magician, Lightstalker Photography and A&K Events.
Resident DJ’s Lewis Anthony and Jb John provided the musical backdrop along with a very special headline performance from 90’s legends East 17 with new front man Robbie Craig. They performed all the best loved hits from the back catalogue as well as an exclusive performance of their new track taken from their new upcoming album set for release this year.
Due to the success of the event the “Just Be” team were also able to capitalise and help the late (John) Andy Williams who attended the event before his untimely passing due to cancer.
Jb John said on behalf of the Just Be team - "This year has been so good for us. We feel we were able to do so much both for Rennie and then Andy. Our only concern now is how to keep up with the demand for more events like this, and how to progressively top each one.”
Mike Penning added:
"JB and his team have done a fantastic job and raised a tremendous amount for Iain Rennie - a great day and a great result!"
