Mike Penning MP is calling on local schools to apply for The Speaker’s School Council Awards.

The Speaker’s School Council Awards has launched to celebrate the achievements of young people. Get involved by encouraging your local schools to apply!

Mike Penning said:
“I think all our local schools encourage pupils to get involved in the running of the school through a school council. Many of these school councils have contributed great ideas to the school and it would be fantastic if a local school council was recognised for the work they have done.

“I urge all local school councils to apply!”

Schools can enter the competition by registering and completing a short application form on the Speaker’s School Council website.

The closing date for entries is Friday 19 May.
