Hemel Hempstead MP Mike Penning and Mayor of Dacorum Cllr Roger Taylor joined Hemel Hempstead District Beaver Scouts in their celebrations of 25 years of Beaver Scouting in Hertfordshire.
Beaver Scouts all over the county celebrated with a sleepover including craft activities, party games and campfire songs.
Hemel Hempstead District held their event at Hobbs Hill Wood Primary School in Peascroft Road where they enjoyed a visit from restored vintage fire engines.
Mike said:
“I am delighted to have been invited to join the Beaver Scouts in their activity session. Beaver Scouts provides a great opportunity for young people to make friends and learn useful skills. I hope they enjoyed their sleepover and got plenty of sleep!”
Beaver Scouts is the youngest section of the scouting movement and the children are usually aged between 6 and 8.
