Mike joined more than 450 visitors to the flower festival at St Mary's in Apsley to celebrate 400 years of the King James Bible and 140 years since the consecration of the church.

The displays were based on passages from the old and new testaments and chosen by the Floral Co-ordinator, Margaret Wootton, They represented a wonderful breadth of talent and imagination on the part of the arrangers.

Mike, who visited on Sunday afternoon (3rd July), said:
“I am delighted to have been invited to join in celebrations at St Mary's. The event was hugely successful and I was impressed with the wide range of activities. I congratulate everyone involved.”
