Hemel Hempstead MP Mike Penning is encouraging businesses from the Hemel Hempstead constituency to nominate something of excellence that they manufacture or design in support of the Made in Britain initiative.
The initiative, which was launched this month by Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills, Vince Cable, is in collaboration with the Associate Parliamentary Manufacturing Group and the Royal Commission Exhibition of 1851 organisation. Each MP is being asked to nominate a product or design from their constituency.
Mike Penning said:
“The ‘Made in Britain’ initiative provides local businesses with a prime opportunity to showcase the products which they design or manufacture.
“I have visited a large number of businesses based in the constituency and have seen for myself many of the products made and designed here. We have a diverse range of businesses in the area and I encourage any business with an innovative product to take part.
“I am very keen to back a local product and put it forward as the ‘Made by Britain’ item from Hemel Hempstead.”
If you are a local business and would like to nominate something you manufacture or design, please send an email with information about your product to Mike Penning MP at mike@penning4hemel.com [1] by Friday 2nd September.
