Mike Penning, MP for Hemel Hempstead, has given his full support to Prime Minister David Cameron on his decision to veto EU treaty changes.

Mike said:
“The Prime Minister has shown great leadership and integrity by insisting that the City of London be excluded from reams of new financial regulation relating to the eurozone crisis. We are not part of the eurozone and we have taken strong action to reduce our deficit and the eurozone countries need to the do the same.

“It is absolutely right that we do not sign up to measures that would not benefit us but would weaken our financial services industry. David Cameron has done the right thing for Britain.”
