Mike Penning joined the eight other Conservative MPs in Hertfordshire to secure a debate on the NHS in Hertfordshire.
Hemel Hempstead MP, Mike Penning, joined the other Hertfordshire Conservative MPs in a coordinated campaign to secure an ‘Adjournment Debate’ on the ‘Changes to NHS Services in Hertfordshire’.
Adjournment debates are chosen by ballot so each of the 9 MPs entered into the ballot to speak on the same topic. The ploy was successful and David Gauke, MP for South West Hertfordshire was selected by The Speaker.
The debate which will involve all the MPs from Hertfordshire will take place on Wednesday 12 July at about 2.30pm and will last for about 90 minutes. The Government are obliged to send a Minister to reply to the debate.
