Mike Penning congratulates canoe club on Olympic legacy funding grant

Local MP Mike Penning has congratulated Hemel Hempstead Canoe Club on receiving a £33,000 grant from Sport England’s Inspired Facilities Fund. (Photo: Hemel Hempstead Gazette)

The grant will enable the club to upgrade their facilities in Red Lion Lane, Nash Mills.

Mike Penning said:
“The Inspired Facilities Fund is a superb funding project and I am delighted that Hemel Hempstead Canoe Club will benefit. The club has been an active supporter of Dacorum Borough Council’s preparations for the 2012 Olympics and it is just reward that the club will be able to offer a sporting legacy long into the future.”
