Mike Penning opens Leverstock Green Fête

Mike Penning MP opened the Leverstock Green Fete last weekend and met up with several veterans and members of the British Legion. Mike said “The weather was good and I enjoyed the vibrant community spirit evident in this beautiful village.”

Mike lent his support to the British Legion members who were there raising money for the veterans of past conflicts in the two World Wars and more recent campaigns. As an ex guardsman himself, Mike is always keen to meet and speak with those who, in Mike’s words, “have served and suffered to defend our country and the values of freedom and fair play that it stands for.”
