Mike Penning judged the fancy dress competition at Adeykidz Halloween Disco.
Local MP, Mike Penning, joined youngsters from Adeykidz and Kids Zoo at the Adeykidz Halloween Disco on Friday 30th October.
The disco for young people aged between 7 and 12 was held at Adeyfield Community Centre. There was tremendous support from the local business community and food and prizes were kindly donated by Sainsburys, Quality Pizza, Hemel Engraving, Nisa, Martins, Post office, The Sun Shop, The Co-op, Amanda Janes Grocers, Bluebells Florists and Pruden Bakery – who donated pumpkin biscuits.
Adeykidz and Kids Zoo are youth groups for 7 to 12 year olds in Adeyfield and Gadebridge (also serving Warners End and Chaulden) respectively.
Speaking afterwards Mike said:
“I congratulate Adeykidz and Kids Zoo on their superb Halloween disco. It was great to see the young people enjoying themselves. Judging the fancy dress was very scary!
“As a community we owe a great debt to those people who generously give up their time to make these things happen. It is to the benefit of all of us that our young people have somewhere where they can go and enjoy themselves.
“These clubs are badly in need of financial support to enable them to keep going. If anyone is interested in making a donation, please get it touch with them or contact me and I will help you get in touch.”
