Mike Penning visited Chaulden Post Office today and welcomed the installation of the new free-to-use cash machine.

Mike said:
“I am delighted to help launch this new service. Mr Walia and his family have been serving the people of Chaulden for over 20 years and I commend their dedication and commitment to the local community. It is businesses such as the local post office and the people who run them that hold our communities together.”

Chaulden Sub-Postmaster, Mr Hardip Walia said:
“We responded to the wishes of local people who told us they would like to be able to withdraw cash free of charge at times which are convenient to them.”

The new ATM complements the range of other banking services on offer at the Chaulden Post Office. Customers from many UK banks and building societies can already withdraw cash for free over the counter and current account servicing is available for nine UK banks.
