Old and unwanted mobile phones can now be dropped off at collection points to be sold in aid of “Help for Heroes
Following his recent visit to troops in Afghanistan where he met a number of seriously injured soldiers in the camp hospital at Camp Bastion, Hemel MP Mike Penning has pledged to do everything possible to support them on their return to the UK.
He has now launched the “Phones for our Troops” campaign. If you have any old and unwanted mobile phones, you can drop them off at any one of our collection points and they will be sold and all money raised will go directly to “Help for Heroes”.
Mike said:
“Many people have an old, unused mobile phone lying around somewhere. They are not doing anyone any good where they are and could be put to good use raising money for our injured servicemen and women.
“All people have to do is to put the phone in a box or padded envelope, write on their name and address and drop it off at one of our collection points. Even if it doesn’t work, we still want it – although it would be helpful if they could fix a note to it saying it doesn’t work.”
If anyone else is willing to act as a drop off point, please contact Mike on mike@mikepenning.com [1] or at this office 01442 450444.
