Mike Penning submitted his £500 deposit in pound coins to show his commitment to keeping the pound.

Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Hemel Hempstead, Mike Penning, accompanied by supporters met with election officials at Dacorum Borough Council to hand in his nomination papers earlier today.

Just as he did five years ago, Mike submitted his £500 deposit in one pound coins to reaffirm his commitment to keeping the pound and protecting British sovereignty.

Speaking afterwards Mike said:
“It is a great privilege to have once again been chosen by the Conservative party as their candidate to fight the general election. Over the past five years I have fought hard for local people on issues that matter to them and, I hope, earned a reputation for being a good representative for our area in Parliament.

“If re-elected I will continue to campaign on local issues, stand up for what is right and speak out for the people of Hemel Hempstead.”
