Mike Penning MP has launched the local round of the Tiffin Cup competition to find the best South Asian Restaurant in the Hemel Hempstead Constituency.
The Tiffin Cup is an annual event organised by a cross-party group of Members of Parliament known as the Tiffin Club. Each MP can nominate one South Asian restaurant from their constituency. Regional winners then attend a Grand Final cook-in at Bellamy's Restaurant in the Houses of Parliament which is presided over by TV Chef Ainsley Harriott.
At the same time money is raised for charity and this year the charity is 'World Vision' which works globally to speak out for children affected by injustice and poverty.
Mike Penning said:
“This is a great way of promoting South Asian food in Hemel. We had a great response last time and I hope we will be able to do just as well this year.”
To nominate a restaurant, residents can either fill in the form or nominate online via his website.
Completed forms should be posted to:
Mike Penning MP, House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA
